Passion Project Presentations
Wow! It's amazing what happens when you let 5th graders design their own learning projects. From art explorations, aircraft, saving lives, important messages from Kid Secretary (see below) and super-string theory in physics - we were AMAZED with the variety of topics! It was an impressive day as we got to hear the details of the projects and see the final products. We of course saved time to reflect on learning and get peer feedback. What a wonderful day!

Breaking News!
This just in. . . Greek Myths in modern times. 3rd graders describe important events in Greek Mythology as if they were events on the news. Check out their creativity and use of Green Screen apps to bring the myths to life.

Pathway Projects - Day 1
Fourth graders are finding out where their chosen paths lead. If you had to choose - would you pick Science or Math? Art or Energy? Based on word choices, students ended up following the path that had the most chosen words. The Bright Path and the sMart Path are both great options! Those in the Bright Path will be learning about electric circuits while the sMart Path leads to more choices - all topics that combine art and math. I am so eager to see the excitement as students follow their paths. Take a peek at day 1:
Ozobot and the Sun Chairot
3rd graders faced a challenge where the sky was the limit - literally. They designed a path across the sky for their own engineered sun chariot (based on the Greek myth Phaethon and the Sun Chariot). During their journey across the sky, they programmed a reaction to the mythical creatures that were there. In the myth, Phaethon is foolish and wakes the monsters causing major destruction - Did Ozobot survive his great sun chariot journey? Check out some fun footage from the day.

WeDo Love Tinkering
3rd graders enjoyed Tinkering with Lego WeDo robots after learning about Daedalus a famous inventor from Greek Mythology. Inspired the the giant metal "robot" Talos, students built and programmed their own protector of islands. Check out some footage from the very busy day!
GT Shark Tank
GT students are off and running on designing their passion projects. As a part of the approval process, students had to face the sharks and describe their project. Our amazing sharks did an AMAZING job of feeding them questions and offering feedback.
